Banks in new crisis after bricks thrown
The Edinburgh home of former RBS boss, “Sir” Fred Goodwin, has been damaged by a gang of vandals in the early hours of this morning.
CCTV footage is being closely scrutinised, but is thought to show that a number of treasury ministers were involved in the attack. Officers investigating the evidence are keen to talk with a gang member referred to on the tape simply as Gordon the Fifer. The property is monitored 24-hours a day by trained security staff and though it is not known how the gang managed to breach this security, the discovery of receipts for the purchase of several bacon rolls at a local restaurant are thought to offer some clues.
Alex Salmond expressed his disgust at the attack saying, “It wisnae me”.
Police are following up around 24 billion other leads. Their investigation is continuing. Slowly.
